Instagram Australian User Profile looks like this;

The total number of Australian Instagrammers sits just over that 5 million users mark, with around 21%of all Australians owning an account, sharing approximately 24.5 million posts each month.

Of these 5 million Instagramers;

  • 70% of users are between 18 and 34 years of age and this demographic is the most active
  • 60% of all uses are female
  • 70% of users are active everyday
  • Australian follow on average 190 others and have on average 251 followers

Facebook Australian User Profile looks like this;

Facebook has reached 15 million users in Australia. According the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) there are now approximately 24 million Australians. This means 62.5% of the total Australian population has a Facebook account.

Of these 15 million Facebookers;

  • 20% of all user are aged 18 – 24
  • 27% of all users are aged 25 – 34
  • 20% of all users are aged 35 – 44
  • 14% of all users are aged 45 – 54
  • 9% of all users are aged 55 – 64
  • 6% of all users are aged 65+
  • 53% of all users are women
